Southern Italian
Food and culinary traditions from Southern Italy.
A Southern Italian restaurant in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Flora serves dinner and brunch inspired by the food and traditions of Cilento, Vallo di Diano National Park, the Amalfi Coast, and Lucania. Its dishes use a few ingredients sourced directly from Italy and draw on recipes from Campania. The restaurant opened in 2015, founded by two people from Southern Italy who wanted to share their culinary heritage in New York. Flora is a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand Award winner and was named a UNESCO Ambassador of the Mediterranean Heritage and Diet in the World at the United Nations. The restaurant brings together Southern Italian food, culture, and design.
