Do companies and professionals use the same categories?
Yes. Companies and individual professionals list under the same category tree, so a plumbing firm and a solo plumber appear side by side in the same field - clients search by what you do, not by how you are set up.
How do I choose the right category?
Pick the top category that best describes your main activity, then open it to choose the specialism closest to what you actually do.
What if my profession is not listed?
The lists cover the vast majority of fields, but they are not exhaustive. If nothing fits, choose the nearest category and tell us during listing - we review and extend the catalogue over time.
Can I appear in more than one category?
Each listing has one primary category so people can find you reliably. If your work genuinely spans several fields, mention it when you get listed and we will advise on the best fit.
Where do these categories come from?
The category tree follows a widely used international business taxonomy, so it stays familiar and comparable across every field rather than invented in-house.
Does my category affect recognition?
No. Your category only controls where you appear and how you are found. Recognition is assessed separately, on the evidence you provide, using the same standards across every field.
