About A Piano Grows in Brooklyn
Since 2010, A Piano Grows in Brooklyn has offered private piano lessons for adults and children. Students can learn in a Downtown Brooklyn studio, at home in Brooklyn, or online. Lessons are tailored to individual goals and range from beginner through advanced levels, covering classical, jazz, pop, improvisation, music theory, songwriting, and ear training. The school teaches children, teens, adults starting or returning to piano, and musicians exploring a new instrument. Six professional teachers are currently accepting students. Short recitals take place each spring and fall across Brooklyn. The studio is at 190 Duffield Street near MetroTech Center, and lessons are also available in Brooklyn neighborhoods including Brooklyn Heights, Fort Greene, Park Slope, Williamsburg, and Greenpoint.
