The American Institute of Education

The electrology program prepares students to become licensed electrologists. The American Institute of Education is a specialty school that combines at-home theory study with in-person instruction; the theory module is completed from home, and the program can be completed in as little as five months. Students may take up to 12 months if needed. The school says it has been in business for 36 years and that its instructors are former graduates who have become licensed and started their own practices. Tuition financing is offered without interest, and scholarships are available. The school also provides a housing registry for out-of-state students, made up of local residents who rent rooms in their homes. Its training is focused on electrolysis and preparation for state licensure.
