Western Medical Training Center

In San Diego, Western Medical Training Center is a healthcare certification school with a headquarters and learning lab. It offers programs in clinical medical assisting, EKG technology, pharmacy technology, medical billing and coding, and other healthcare fields. Some options combine online coursework with in-person lab instruction. The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant hybrid program covers clinical skills, patient care, injections, blood draws, and externship placement, with morning and evening schedules available. Programs range from a 16-hour RNA certification to a four-month clinical medical assistant course. Students can also enroll in dual-certification bundles, including combinations with EKG, pharmacy technology, or medical billing and coding. Fully funded training may be available to eligible San Diego residents through a partnership with the International Rescue Committee; foster youth may also qualify for support through Guardian Scholars.
