About Arts Aloft LLC
Arts Aloft provides art classes for children from kindergarten through 12th grade. Weekly classes can be joined at any time, with instruction focused on artistic self-expression and techniques associated with the grand masters. Students work across multiple media, including tempera, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, ink, plaster, and clay. The studio also offers workshops beginning in fall 2026 and summer camps in 2026. Classes are taught by Betsy Erving, a watercolorist and children's illustrator who opened Arts Aloft in 2006. The studio emphasizes the creative process and gives children room to develop personal connections to their work rather than following rigid step-by-step results. Arts Aloft is located in Seattle's Madrona neighborhood.
