Founded in 2000
Youth arts education organization established in 2000.
Founded in 2000, Arts Corps offers arts education programs for young people across South Puget Sound. Its programs reach more than 2,000 K-12 students each year through in-house offerings and partnerships with schools, arts organizations, and community services. Programs include arts integration, out-of-school arts enrichment, and teen leadership. Arts Corps also provides classes at King County Juvenile Detention and runs an Art 4 Life internship. Learning experiences are designed to engage students through culturally relevant arts education. Art classes are free to students and their families, with supplies and teaching artist wages supported through donations. Arts Corps works to address race- and income-based gaps in access to arts education.
