Play-based learning
Hands-on discovery and guided play support early development.
Spanish language instruction is part of the 3s and Pre-K classes. Lincoln Park Cooperative Preschool is a play-based early learning community at Fauntleroy Schoolhouse in West Seattle, with outdoor play spaces at the schoolhouse and nearby Lincoln Park. Classes support children's social, emotional, and language development through hands-on discovery and guided play. Families take part in the classroom, and caregivers can join parent education led by an instructor from South Seattle College. The curriculum aligns with Washington State's Kindergarten Entrance Guidelines and includes an emphasis on inclusion, equity, and anti-bias education. Current offerings include toddler, twos, threes, and Pre-K classes. The preschool program runs from September through May and follows the Seattle Public Schools calendar; scholarship assistance is available to qualifying families.
