Compass Family Services

A family social services nonprofit. Compass Family Services supports homeless families and families at imminent risk of homelessness in San Francisco. Its programs provide housing and resources intended to help families build long-term stability. Families also receive individualized, one-on-one support for parents and children. The organization focuses on housing stability, economic self-sufficiency, and well-being, and reports that it served more than 11,000 parents and children last year. Compass also shares financial resources for San Francisco families through information about the Economic Justice Center. Its work includes engaging parents in feedback and advocacy through a Family Advisory Committee, helping inform the local response to family homelessness. Support is directed to both parents and children, with children making up a substantial share of those served.
