Oak-grilled steaks
USDA Choice and Prime Midwestern steaks, oak-grilled.
Since 1971, the Butcher Shop has served oak-grilled USDA Choice and Prime Midwestern steaks in San Diego. Its menu includes slow-roasted prime rib, a 32-ounce Black Angus Little Tomahawk, and a seafood tower with shrimp, snow crab, oysters, and salmon poke. The restaurant draws on classic Chicago-style steakhouse traditions, with dark wood paneling, leather booths, brass, and etched-glass details. It also hosts multi-course wine pairing dinners with wineries and offers private events in its Windsor Room. The current Kearny Mesa location has served guests since 1986. The business traces its beginnings to Roberto De Philippis, who opened the first Butcher Shop in Chula Vista in 1968.
