Support Our Scholars

In Maitland, Support Our Scholars is a Central Florida nonprofit that supports disadvantaged young women through college. It provides each scholar with a $10,000 scholarship, paid in increments over four years, along with housing assistance, emergency funds, dorm room provisions, and a laptop. Local women serve as trained mentors throughout the scholar's college years, offering emotional support, practical advice, and help developing life skills. Scholars can also connect with professional women for contacts and internships, and join a sisterhood of current scholars and graduates. Support continues across the college journey, helping young women address financial challenges while navigating school and preparing for life after graduation.
