About Nova Community Arts
An adult arts education center. Nova Community Arts is a queer-owned, community-focused studio in Atwater Village, Los Angeles, offering art classes for adults in a welcoming, inclusive setting. Classes cover drawing, painting, printmaking, risograph, bookmaking, and mixed media exploration, with no prior experience required. The studio also holds evening and weekend workshops, including embroidery, letterpress poster printing, and laser cutter earring design. LGBTQ+ workshops take place on Thursdays. Risograph printing services are available for art prints and single-sheet zines, using an RZ 390UI printer with 11 ink colors. Prints can be made on 8.5-by-11-inch or 11-by-17-inch paper; customers may provide certain alternative papers. The studio is located at 3421 Glendale Boulevard.
