H&R HealthCare School

In-person Nurse Assistant Training Program classes combine classroom instruction with clinical training. The program includes 60 classroom hours, 100 clinical hours, and practice demonstrating 23 patient or resident care skills, preparing students for the state competency examination for nursing assistant certification. Day and evening schedules are offered. Home Health Aide training follows completion of the nurse assistant program and takes one week, or 40 hours. Students learn to support older adults, people with disabilities, and people in ill health at home, with instruction in safety, nutrition, feeding, grooming, vital signs, and emergency procedures. Clinical sites are in Santa Monica, Montclair, and Hawthorne. H&R HealthCare School is located in Los Angeles, California.
