Founded in 1982, LEAP develops leadership programs and workshops for Asian and Pacific Islander individuals and organizations. The national nonprofit works toward full participation and equality through leadership, empowerment, and policy. Its offerings include programs for people at different career stages, consulting tailored to organizational needs, and leadership research addressing API representation in decision-making roles. LEAP also maintains an alumni network of more than 125,000 program graduates and partners across sectors. Its work serves corporate, nonprofit, and higher education communities while informing society about issues affecting Asian and Pacific Islander communities. LEAP is based in Los Angeles and has educated and advocated for API communities for more than 40 years.
