Arbor Day Foundation

More than half a billion trees planted: the Arbor Day Foundation is a global nonprofit focused on planting, nurturing, and celebrating trees. Based in Lincoln, it works with local organizations and planting partners in more than 60 countries, directing tree planting toward areas where trees can benefit climate, communities, and biodiversity. Its work includes planting in communities and forests, carbon forestry, and supporting recovery from wildfires. The foundation also connects tree planters with resources, recognition, conferences, and events. Its educational materials cover tree selection, planting locations, care, and maintenance. People can get involved through membership, donations, corporate partnerships, planting partnerships, and Arbor Day celebrations. The organization also operates a nursery and shop offering trees and other items.
