About K-9 Angels Rescue
Dog and cat rescue, adoption, transport, and spay/neuter services are central to this volunteer-based organization. K-9 Angels Rescue partners with shelters and rescues in northern states to transport animals to approved adopters. Its Empty Shelter Project provides free spay/neuter surgeries to help prevent unwanted litters and reduce the number of homeless and stray animals. The organization also seeks foster homes to prepare animals for transport to partner rescues and shelters. Since 2012, it has rescued and re-homed nearly 10,000 dogs, and the project has performed 31,500 spay/neuter surgeries through the end of 2025. K-9 Angels Rescue operates in Houston.
