Based in Elk River, Aurora Healing is a counseling practice offering in-office and teletherapy services. Individual mental health therapy is tailored to each person and may address trauma, anxiety, depression, or addiction. Therapists work with clients ages five and older, with experience serving adolescents, veterans, and first responders. Trauma-focused approaches include developmental, attachment-focused, narrative, and skills-based strategies. The practice also provides chemical health counseling and addiction assessments, including Rule 25 assessments, as well as counseling for gambling problems. Therapeutic horsemanship and equine-assisted learning use interaction with horses to support self-discovery and insight into behavior patterns. Psychology-based support is also offered for personal performance in sports, horsemanship, or business. Sessions are available at the Elk River office or online by computer or phone.
