About Hope Border Institute
In El Paso, Hope Border Institute is a community and social services organization rooted in the borderlands. It organizes with faith and community leaders to build justice, defend immigrant rights and shape a more compassionate home across the borderlands region. Its work includes the Catholic Immigrant Prophetic Action Project, launched with the Center for Migration Studies of New York. The project responds to migration through theological and pastoral reflections from Catholic leaders in North America, Mexico, Central America and the Vatican. The institute also shares reports on migration and works with community leaders around border issues. Its activities connect faith-based perspectives with community organizing and advocacy for immigrants.
