Spread Art

Spread Art provides space and opportunities for community members to collaborate, exhibit, experiment, perform, practice, and organize cultural activities. Its creative incubator supports activities across art, dance, music, and storytelling. Events at the space have included monthly improv shows curated and hosted by Awol Theater Co. and Sound Off Sundays, an open mic held every other Sunday. The venue has also hosted performances, fundraisers, hip hop yoga, and a neighborhood planning meeting. Artists and community members can use the common area to gather and develop creative work. Located in Detroit, Spread Art serves as a space for both artistic activity and community collaboration.
