Irwin House Detroit

In Detroit's West End, Irwin House Detroit is a not-for-profit global art center and gallery. It presents themed exhibitions and multimedia programs focused on cultural and historical subjects, including work by African-American, local, and other under-represented artists. The center displays the Irwin family collection and provides exhibition opportunities for local and visiting artists. Its programs include an artist-in-residency initiative, educational events, hands-on opportunities, and exchanges for youth, school groups, seniors, and underserved populations. Community meeting and event space is also available. Through its programming, the center connects artists, collectors, and community members while supporting the development of new work by national and global artists invited to its facility.
