Clarendon Park Playground

In Uptown, Chicago, Clarendon Park is a public park with a playground and community programs. The playground gives young children space for fun and exercise throughout the year. Park programs support youth sports teams, a social justice music group, a model railroad club, and community garden activities. Its community garden, established in 2015, includes beds for growing vegetables and flowers. Visitors can also find an indoor little library, picnic areas beneath large shade trees, and seasonal events such as an Easter egg hunt. The Clarendon Community Center is being renovated, with reopening announced for July 7, 2025. A volunteer advisory council promotes park use, shares information about programs, communicates with the Park District, and supports community involvement.
