About Rotary Club of Verrazano
Chartered on April 7, 1978, the Rotary Club of Verrazano brings together 35 professionals from varied business fields. Members support humanitarian efforts and local community projects. The club has donated hundreds of Thanksgiving turkeys to families in need and organized food assistance after Superstorm Sandy, including more than 1,000 meals for people in Coney Island and aid for families on Staten Island. It also contributed funding to families who lost belongings or housing in the storm. Its support includes efforts to help children access heart surgery through organizations such as Gift of Life. The club serves people regardless of race, religion, or political beliefs, and is part of the broader Rotary network of clubs around the world.
