About Mod Restoration
Custom reupholstery is available for mid-century classics such as Eames and Hans Wegner chairs. Mod Restoration is a Brooklyn furniture upholstery and restoration company offering custom upholstery, drapery, wood refinishing, and caning, including wicker, rush, and Danish cord. The studio also refinishes tables, chairs, and buffets, with fabric selection coordinated to the wood. Fabric collections include options from Robert Allen, Kravet, Maharam, Lee Jofa, Beacon Hill, Design Tex, Bergamo, Schumacher, and Ralph Lauren. Fabric designers visit homes or businesses with selections, and the company provides pickup and delivery. Its restoration projects include iconic pieces such as the Saarinen Womb Chair, Barcelona Chair, and Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair.
