Sculptural lighting
Designs large-scale lighting collections using a hands-on process.
Founded in Brooklyn in 1996, David Weeks Studio began as a small-scale, bespoke lighting practice. Its large-scale sculptural lighting is designed through sketching, modeling, and prototyping, with much of the work made by hand. The studio also creates furniture, textiles, home goods, and wooden toys with partners including Roll&Hill, Moroso, Tala, Habitat, and Areaware. Its lighting collections are produced and sold exclusively through Ralph Pucci International. The design studio is moving to David Weeks's Foundry building in Germantown, New York, while production will continue at 44 West 18th Street. The studio develops products, lighting, and toys for partners, and its work appears in commercial spaces and private collections.
