About this location: 500 W Madison St Fl 2

Handcrafted gourmet popcorn is the core offering at this Chicago shop. Garrett Popcorn Shops makes small batches throughout the day in old-fashioned copper kettles, using family recipes passed down through three generations. Flavors include CaramelCrisp, CheeseCorn, Buttery, and Plain, with fudge and nuts also part of the company's product history. Popcorn is made fresh, hand scooped, and precisely weighed. The shop traces its origins to a kitchen in 1949, when Gladys Otto sold popcorn for five cents a bag. Garrett later acquired Frango in 2010. This location is in Chicago's Citigroup Center and offers Garrett's signature popcorn recipes for purchase.

About Garrett Popcorn Shops

A gourmet popcorn shop. Garrett Popcorn Shops has been a Chicago tradition since 1949, making popcorn in small batches throughout each day. Its recipes include CaramelCrisp, CheeseCorn, Buttery and Plain, prepared with a signature blend of kernels and cooked in old-fashioned copper kettles. The popcorn is handmade, then hand scooped and precisely weighed. The recipes began with founder Gladys Otto and have been passed down through three generations. The shop also offers Frango chocolates, a brand Garrett acquired in 2010. Its origins were in a family kitchen, where popcorn was sold alongside fudge and nuts. Today, Garrett Popcorn Shops continues to make its popcorn fresh using those family recipes.
