Maryland Citizens' Health

A health care advocacy coalition. It works to advance affordable coverage for Maryland residents through policy campaigns and community engagement. Established by the Maryland Citizens' Health Initiative Education Fund in 1999, the coalition brings together faith, business, labor, professional, and community groups from across the state. Its work focuses on access to care, health equity, and reducing health care and prescription drug costs. The coalition also shares advocacy updates and opportunities for people to get involved. It offers presentations for classes and groups on effective advocacy. Past efforts include supporting legislation to make prescription drugs more affordable and expand access to health coverage through the Maryland Health Connection. Its stated goal is access to quality, affordable health care coverage for all Marylanders.
