About Couvrant
Couvrant provides in-home consultations, window treatment design, custom fabrication, installation, and aftercare. Its work includes made-to-measure drapery, shades, blinds, and shutters, with fabric, hardware, and construction specified for each window. Projects move from a home walk-through through design and hand-built fabrication to precision installation, with warranty support and adjustments afterward. The practice specializes in custom window coverings, drawing on fabrics and finishes sourced internationally, including materials from Como to Jaipur. Couvrant works with interior designers, artisans, and installation specialists, and its founder reviews each specification before it goes to the workroom. Service is by appointment only. The business serves Washington, D.C., and the DMV, with projects noted in neighborhoods and communities including Georgetown, Palisades, McLean, and Chevy Chase.
