Chelsea Restoration Associates

The studio examines paintings, prepares treatment proposals and condition reports, and carries out restoration and conservation treatments. Services address surface dirt, stains, nicotine, discolored varnish, overpaint, lifting or flaking paint, and structural cracks. The studio also provides custom stretchers, panels, and supports, along with written and video condition reports for works in the New York metropolitan region. Treatment reports include recommended work and estimated cost; completed projects receive detailed reports with before and after photos. Specialists work with fine paintings ranging from Old Master to contemporary, tailoring treatments to each work's style and materials and selecting reversible materials. Chelsea Restoration Associates is located in the Mott Haven neighborhood of The Bronx.
