Stan Kenton Research Center

In Staunton, the Stan Kenton Research Center is an archive devoted to the life, work, and legacy of Stan Kenton and his orchestra. Its collection includes original manuscripts, printed scores, rehearsal materials, recordings, photographs, concert programs, publications, correspondence, and documents about the orchestra's personnel and educational initiatives. Materials support research and study, with access arranged by appointment on a limited, case-by-case basis according to the request, material condition, and rights considerations. The center offers inquiries about the collection and welcomes contributions of materials. Its website provides a curated introduction to the archive, while much of the collection remains undigitized and is available by inquiry.
