Almost Home

Since 1993, Almost Home has served more than 1,900 young St. Louis moms. The organization provides resources and support to help young mothers move from poverty toward self-sufficiency. Its comprehensive programs address the complex needs of moms at different points in their lives, with a focus on helping them build stable futures for themselves and their children. The organization reports that 57% of participants pursue education beyond high school or further job training, while 90% obtain jobs to provide for their families. Almost Home also shares household goods and baby supplies through donation requests, and invites donors and volunteers to contribute resources and time. Its work supports both young moms and their children.
