Commonwealth Firearms and Training Center

Classroom instruction covers Massachusetts License to Carry and Firearms Identification requirements. The center offers the required firearm safety course for residents and non-residents, including a women-only version with the same licensing curriculum and instruction on concealed-carry methods. Classes include materials on Massachusetts firearms law, and students receive access to PDF forms used in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. NRA courses include basic pistol and rifle certifications, as well as Range Safety Officer training. Other offerings include a Florida non-resident concealed carry course, a Refuse to Be a Victim program, and a combined NRA and Rhode Island certification course. Classes are held in Somerset, at a conference room identified as the new class location. The center has provided instruction since 2013.
