WARM - Washington Adoption Reunion Movement

Adoption search and reunion services are the practical focus of this Seattle nonprofit. WARM assists adoptees, birth family members, and adoptive families with information, referrals, support, and searches for relatives separated by adoption. Its services include court searches for access to sealed records and non-court searches for people who have identifying information but need help locating a family member. Confidential intermediaries conduct contact and search work, with signed consent required before identifying information is exchanged. WARM specializes in Washington state and works with Superior Courts in Washington and in other states and provinces when there is a connection to Washington. The organization also promotes awareness of adoption-related issues and follows changes in law and policy. WARM has worked on family reunions since 1976.
