Pilgrim Africa

A faith-based community and social services organization. Pilgrim Africa works in Uganda to address malaria and other neglected tropical diseases, focusing on highly burdened communities and partnering with leaders on disease treatment and prevention. Its malaria initiatives aim to support faster, cheaper, and safer control while contributing to national elimination efforts. The organization also develops strategies for improving delivery of neglected tropical disease services in at-risk communities. Through its youth education work, Pilgrim Africa brings hands-on, project-based STEAM learning to rural Ugandan classrooms. Its projects include Pilgrim Protect, the Katakwi Rotary Malaria Project, and efforts to raise resources for malaria programs. The organization also shares updates about malaria prevention, community health, education, and advocacy in Uganda.
