South Bay Regional Public Safety Training

Courses and training programs are provided for public safety personnel and people preparing for public safety careers. Offerings include a Basic Police Academy, in-service and advanced officer training, dispatch courses, and beginning, intermediate, and advanced fire services training. The Academy also provides training management support to agencies, including help with training plans, course certification, and scheduling. Pre-employment services include entrance assessments and testing for public safety careers, along with information about written and physical agility exams. The consortium is made up of community colleges and serves regional agencies through academy sites in the area. Its specialties include law enforcement, emergency services dispatch, and Fire/EMT programs. The organization is based in San Jose, with programs at partner college campuses.
