Guitars in the Classroom

Offers hands-on music training that helps educators use music in teaching across subjects. Participants learn to play ukulele and guitar, sing, write songs, and use songs to engage students. The approach is designed for learners of different ages and abilities, and no prior musical experience is required. Programs include educator training, early childhood education, music educator workshops, classroom teaching artist residencies, adaptive music for inclusion, after-school strummer clubs, and summer programs for students. Learning is available virtually or in person when offered. Training is supported by grants, sponsors, and donations. Guitars in the Classroom serves educators and students in San Diego and beyond.
