International Rescue Committee

Emergency relief and recovery programs support people affected by conflict, disaster, and the climate crisis. The International Rescue Committee helps people survive, recover, and gain control over their futures. Its work includes learning programs for children and youth, improved water supply services, nutrition programs, and resettlement, asylum, and integration support. The organization also provides assistance to refugees and immigrants in the United States, with volunteers playing a role in those efforts. IRC programs operate around the world and across the United States. In San Jose, the organization is part of the community and social services sector.
