Baylands Quarter Midget Racing Club

The club provides youth quarter midget racing, beginning with a trial or promotional drive and a driver training program. Training starts with one-on-one sessions covering racing fundamentals and safety, then advances to lineups practice with other drivers, including race procedures, starting positions, and passing techniques. Drivers progress at their own pace before moving on to racing. Baylands provides race cars and safety equipment for training and racing, including helmets, jackets, gloves, neck braces, and arm restraints. The program serves children ages 5-17 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Its specialty is quarter midget racing on a 1/20-mile oval track in purpose-built cars designed for young drivers. The club is based in San Jose.
