Dharma teachings
Programs explore Buddhist wisdom and compassion.
Founded in 2005 by H.E. Choden Rinpoche and Geshe Gyalten, Ananda Dharma Center follows the Gelug tradition and upholds the broader Buddha Dharma. The San Jose center teaches and practices Tibetan Buddhism through programs exploring Buddhist wisdom and compassion. It hosts events and offers recorded teachings for its community. Prayer services include blessings and pujas at the center or, within the Bay Area, at a home. The Sangha can also conduct ceremonies for newborns, consecrate homes and sacred objects, and offer personalized prayers for health, healing, long life, and other needs. Prayer services for the deceased are available for seven weeks. The center also provides consultations and practice discussions, and offers books by its teachers and Dharma supplies.
