About Chimes - A Neighborhood Church
In San Jose, Chimes is a neighborhood church with a local community focus and a history dating to 1957. It invites people to Sunday worship at 10am, with music, teaching, and community. Worship is central here. Life Groups offer small gatherings for sharing life, studying the Bible, and supporting one another, with help available for finding a group. Members and visitors can also join serving teams, including roles greeting guests, caring for others, and helping behind the scenes; no experience is needed. Chimes hosts events such as Trunk or Treat and shares messages on faith, discipleship, and service. Its stated beliefs include the Bible as God's Word, and its mission centers on sharing the gospel of Jesus in the neighborhood and beyond.
