Mexican cooking
Traditional Mexican dishes prepared from scratch.
A Mexican restaurant. Nopalito serves traditional Mexican cooking made from scratch with local Bay Area ingredients at its Broderick Street location in San Francisco. The restaurant opened in 2009, drawing on chef and owner Gonzalo Guzman's experience and food traditions from Veracruz, Puebla, and Mexico City. Its beverage program centers on tequila, mezcal, and fresh aguas frescas. Nopalito also offers catering and sells a retail line of salsas, chips, and spicy garbanzo beans. The restaurant previously operated a second location and an 18th Street taco window; its focus is now back at the original Broderick Street restaurant. Its food reflects Mexican ingredients, traditions, and cooking techniques.
