Great Northwest Community Improvement Association

The Great Northwest Community Improvement Association manages a residential community and offers shared amenities, recreational programs, and events for its members. Its facilities include two pools, recreational fields, lighted courts, playgrounds, and private clubhouses. Programs include youth soccer, basketball, swim team, and swim lessons, alongside health and fitness classes and social clubs. The association also organizes community yard sales, car shows, summer movie nights, and holiday events. It maintains common areas and enforces property standards across seven subdivisions. Governance is provided by an elected seven-member board, which meets twice monthly and welcomes homeowner participation. The association serves nearly 5,000 homes and 15,000 residents on the northwest side of San Antonio.
