The Raleigh School

The Raleigh School is a progressive private school serving children from preschool through Grade 5. Learning is active, hands-on, cooperative, and play-based. Its inquiry-based approach encourages students to explore ideas and develop critical and creative thinking skills. The curriculum connects learning to children's lives and supports discovery and curiosity. Teachers also help children build social and emotional skills, including self-control, leadership, empathy, and conflict resolution. Outdoor learning is part of the program, with students using trails and the school's 18-acre campus to explore the natural world. The school emphasizes parent engagement and an inclusive community, welcoming families who share common educational goals. Its child-centered approach is designed to recognize each student's individual interests, skills, and abilities.
