Junior livestock shows
Cattle, sheep, goat, swine, and showmanship events.
Junior livestock shows for cattle, sheep, goats, and swine are part of this annual Phoenix event, held December 27-31. The Arizona National Livestock Show has been a Phoenix tradition since 1948. It includes open shows and sales, breeding cattle events, stockdog trials, a ranch replacement heifer show, and ranch rodeo. Horse offerings include an AQHA Horse Show, along with horse judging and horse skill-a-thon competitions. Agricultural activities range from ag mechanics and a farm experience to a farming simulator. Participants can also take part in livestock judging, livestock skill-a-thon, speaking, team fitting, and showmanship. The event brings together livestock and horse exhibitions with competitions and special events.
