Spanish Speaking Elderly Council

Older adult centers provide information, socialization, education, and programming for independent, healthy living. There are nine centers across Brooklyn and Queens. The organization also operates a licensed outpatient behavioral health clinic for adults and older adults, offering culturally sensitive care, crisis intervention, and community outreach. Its Access Program provides case assistance, outreach, and referrals for benefits and entitlements such as Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Services include bilingual support in English and Spanish, as well as Creole-language care at the clinic. The organization serves New York City's Latino, African-American, and low-income aging population, with programs based in Brooklyn and Queens.
