Young Leaders Program
Training and field experience for participants ages 18 to 25.
Based in New York City, One World Exchange is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on preparing young people from under-represented backgrounds for future leadership opportunities. Its Young Leaders Program serves participants ages 18 to 25 through a Leadership Development Institute and an eight-week internship with international development and human rights organizations in developing countries. Participants receive training before departure, then work with partner organizations on projects involving areas such as public health, education, community development, human rights, and youth development. One World also recruits Group Leaders ages 26 to 35 for each country program. They coordinate logistics, respond to critical situations, and provide weekly updates to One World staff during the eight-week experience.
