Guided and self-directed play supports exploration at each child's pac
On New York City's Upper West Side, Little Ivies Prep is an early childhood education program for children from birth to age four. Its developmentally appropriate curriculum combines teacher-selected lessons with guided and self-directed play, giving children room to explore at their own pace. Small-group classrooms support individualized attention and early literacy, numeracy, social, and emotional development. Daily activities include music and movement, with children also exploring classroom technology through teacher-selected lesson activities. Local sports programs bring tennis, soccer, and swimming into the program for an additional fee. Families receive photos and updates through the Procare app, which also lets them message staff. The program prepares children to transition to school.
