Foundation for the Global Compact

In New York City, the Foundation for the Global Compact is a U.S.-based nonprofit that supports the United Nations Global Compact. Its work includes fundraising from governments, companies, and the broader private sector to support the initiative and its activities. The Foundation also provides financial and programmatic assistance, along with staff and other resources, to help develop the initiative's strategy, programs, and global events. It promotes and advocates for the UN Global Compact and its Ten Principles. Established in 2006, the Foundation is incorporated as a New York State not-for-profit corporation and is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Its work supports a global initiative engaging businesses on sustainability and collaboration around pressing global issues.
