Turnip Green Creative Reuse

A creative reuse nonprofit. It diverts usable, hard-to-recycle materials from Nashville's landfill and connects them with community members who can put them to use. The organization receives an average of 1,500 pounds of donated materials each day. Its Creative Reuse Center offers materials through a shopping center, while education and outreach programs share resources and knowledge with the community. Studio workshops include hands-on activities such as quilting, printmaking, and textile crafts. Turnip Green also runs a gallery and marketplace, partners with community groups, and offers programming for children. Materials support students in under-resourced schools, emerging artists, teachers with low budgets, and unhoused community members. The organization is based in Nashville.
