Baby essentials
Layettes provide supplies for babies and support for parents.
Families can access baby layettes, clothing, shoes, dental supplies, books, and comfort items through programs serving children in St. Joseph County. The clothing program supports children ages 1 to 14, while children entering foster care receive personalized totes with new clothing and comfort items. Scholarships help eligible clients further their education, and SUCCESS offers a supportive partnership with St. Adalbert Catholic School in South Bend. The organization also provides Angel Layettes through area hospitals to parents whose child did not survive birth, along with a Layette of Hope for newly pregnant women. It accepts donations and hosts drives to benefit children. The Christ Child Society of South Bend has served the county since 1947 and is based in Mishawaka.
