Reentry Services
Support for people transitioning from incarceration into the community
PACE began in 1960 as a volunteer prison outreach program. Today, Public Advocates in Community re-Entry is an Indianapolis nonprofit helping individuals and families affected by incarceration and justice involvement rebuild their lives. Its services include employment and career support, case management, recovery support, financial coaching, basic-needs assistance, and pre-release services. PACE also offers specialized assistance for young adults under 24, support for people leaving incarceration, and recovery services for people pursuing sobriety and wellness. The organization helps people transition from prison into the community through family reunification, housing, substance-abuse support groups, and education. PACE joined forces with OAR in 2002 and focuses on reentry, public safety, and community stabilization.
